SABINE WREN (JEDI)
Following the liberation of Lothal, Ahsoka Tano - having sensed Sabine Wren’s potential - began training her in the ways of the Jedi. Despite displaying no natural abilities with the Force, Sabine wielded the borrowed lightsaber built by her lost friend Ezra Bridger. However, both women possessed strong, uncompromising characters, and their partnership soon fractured. When the Empire laid waste to Mandalore during the Great Purge and Sabine’s family was killed, Ahsoka feared her student would become dangerous and vengeful. With trust broken and their bond strained by grief and anger, the two quarreled, lost sight of one another, and Ahsoka ultimately walked away.
Sabine remained on Lothal as it reclaimed its identity under the New Republic, watching over Ezra’s beloved homeworld. She painted a mural in memory of her Ghost family, made her home in the tower that had once been Ezra’s, and found companionship in a Loth-cat named Murley. Years after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka Tano returned at last, seeking Sabine’s help to unlock a star map holding clues to the distant galaxy where Thrawn and Bridger were believed to have vanished.
