PATROL TROOPER
As their name suggested, these soldiers were intended to patrol on Imperial territories, a task carried out in conjunction with the Emigration Office and recruiting officers. They did not replace local police but likely assisted customs, whether to find "voluntary" recruits or to thwart smuggling operations.
To carry out their activities, patrol
troopers wore partial armor for greater mobility. Their helmets are
enlarged to incorporate enhanced-imaging sensors and communications
gear, helping Patrol Troopers navigate crowded city streets and handle
real-time data about suspects.
On missions, they most often traveled aboard speeder-bikes, inelegant but fast.
