GENERAL GRIEVOUS

Once a powerful Kaleesh warrior, Grievous had suffered mortal wounds, requiring much of his body to be replaced with cybernetic implants in order to keep him alive. At the end of the process, only 5% of Grievous' original body remained: his eyes, his failing heart and lungs, and his brain, part of which had been enhanced with implants so that he could support and control his new duranium skeleton.

Proud of this tireless metal body, Grievous believed himself capable of confronting the Jedi of the Republic, compensating for his lack of sensitivity to the Force with increased physical power. Count Dooku trained him in the Jedi combat arts, including the handling of four lightsabers simultaneously: the cyborg could thus adopt different forms to adapt to his opponent. Grievous thus became a brilliant strategy leader, as well as a feared Jedi hunter during the Clone Wars, who enjoyed collecting his victims' lightsabers, which he jealously guarded as trophies.

Grievous' body itself was a weapon, allowing him lightning quick strikes and devastating blows. But he was also quick to run from a fight, a tactic that worked until one final meeting with Obi-Wan Kenobi on Utapau.
