DARK TROOPER

The Dark Trooper was a model of combat droid used by the Imperial remnants of Moff Gideon. A platoon of Dark Troopers were held in a cargo bay of the Moff’s light cruiser in cold storage. Dark Troopers were equipped with two rocket boosters, one in each foot, and their armor was capable of withstanding blaster fire, exposure to a flamethrower, but was vulnerable to lightsaber strikes.

The Dark Troopers were used to kidnap the Force-sensitive child Grogu on Tython. All the Dark Troopers were destroyed when Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker came to rescue Grogu aboard the cruiser.

Kylo Ren is Supreme Leader Snoke’s apprentice and the so-called "Master of the Knights of Ren". Son of Han Solo and Leia Organa, Ren adopted a helmet reminiscent of the one worn by his grandfather, Darth Vader. The similarities extended to the red blades of Ren’s crossguard lightsaber, which he built using a cracked kyber crystal that gave it an unstable appearance.
